This youth firearms and safety fundamentals training is to equip young individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle firearms safely and responsibly.
Prerequisite(s):
Preferred Age Group: 13 to 20 years of age.
Parent must accompany minor(s) throughout duration of class.
Objective(s):
Promote Safety: Instill the importance of firearm safety rules, such as treating every firearm as if it's loaded, keeping the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, and knowing the target and what is beyond it.
Educate on Firearm Operation: Teach proper handling, operation, and maintenance of firearms, ensuring that participants understand how to load, unload, and store firearms safely.
Foster Responsibility: Encourage a sense of responsibility regarding firearm ownership and usage, including understanding the legal implications and ethical considerations.
